Ref: Donatioons sought for Construction of New Vainava Temple

Kindly permit us to narratae the following points for your consideration.

The Proposed Construction Place is KORATTI

Koratti is situated very near to Kundrakudi – famous God Murugan temple and Pillaiyarpatti – the very famous Vinayagar Temple in Sivigangai district of Tamilnadu.

Koratti is one of the Pilgrimage place since all temples are there (Siva Iyyanar and Karuppar). Out of that our Vainava Temple is one of them. But the present condidion of the temple is very ruined and it was constructed 600 years ago.

History of the temple:

Name of the God: Koratti Varadharaja Perumal

Name of Goddess: Sri Poodevi and Sridevi

Our forefathers (Korattiar family of O.Siruvayal and Kanadukathan) built the existing temple and worshipped the God hereditarily and we have continued till this date.

The present condition of the temple and statutes of God and Goddess are damaged. We have proposed to construct a new temple and install new statutes in the same place.

We have formed a committee, which proposed the cost as detailed below.

Estimate of Temple construction : Rs.15.00 Lakhs

Estimate of Statutes: Rs.3.00 Lakhs

Estimate of renovation of Pushkarani: Rs.0.50 Lakh

Estimate of Electrical works,Digging of Well,Watertank etc.: Rs.1.00 Lakh.

Estimate of Kumbabishekam:Rs.1.00 Lakh

In this circumstances narrated above, we request you and the members of your Sangam to consider our requirement and send your donations by way of Cheques/Demand Drafts payable at Karaikudi favouring ‘Koratti Sri Varadharaja Perumal Koil Thiruppani Committee’ to any one of the following three Office Bearers of the Committee.
