Minutes of the Blenheim Trip                  photos

36 Nagarathars including 12 kids were on the trip.

We started with the palace some managed to see both ends of the palace while some managed only one side of it.

The untold story was a new thought with electronics and toys re-enacting some old stories happened in the palace. But it was too long a story without escape.

The other end of palace was more of a palace giving us details of churchills birth and marriage and family history.

Then we all had nice lunch prepared by achis. Kids had a go at playing cricket.

We all went on to see the lake walk on the 7 seater buggy I believe every one will agree this was the best view where you see the palace as a complete new palace from every point in the lake with lots of stories of Churchill and king Charles on the way.

Then there were lots of gardens to see secret gardens, rose gardens and palace gardens, Diana’s tomb, Health tomb. Many of us found it hard to find our way out from secret gardens on to the front of palace.

Then we all gathered and had a few games. Thanks to valli for organising the games. And thanks to subbu for organising to buy on behalf of sangam and bring the amplifier system.

We had a numbers grouping game in which Mr. KarunaMoorthy somehow overcome fierce competition from subbu and won.

Direction 1-7 subbu and vijay were the winners

Then kids had a running race and poems and a memory game.

I would like all the kids to remember theirs and others nick names they had during the memory game and should try to say at our next diwalli meeting.

Subbu organised a fund raiser and collected around £28 and palace has given us one free ticket worth £11.70 for booking as a group for group leader. So we have collection of additional £40 pounds from the trip for the sangam.

Overall it was real fun thanks to all members on behalf of the sangam who joined and made this trip a successful one.

Mr. Thiagarajan, our president, has promised shirt and saree for the man and woman of the day during diwalli so be prepared to win that.
